Wednesday Chess Pitfalls: Learning from Mistakes 4:30 – 5:45 PM EST. This class focuses on common mistakes that occur in chess and how one can learn from those common chess pitfalls and improve their game. We will examine famous games where a player made a logical looking move which cost them the chess game. We will also study common middlegame and endgame errors and how to learn from them. After the lesson, students will have an opportunity to play in an online chess arena on lichess, where the coach will oversee the games, commentate on them and help the students learn from their own games. This class is designed for players rated up to 1000 but higher rated players are encouraged to register. If there is enough interest, we will create a separate section and group the students by rating.
