Pop up Spring Break 1 Day Chess Camp

We are excited to announce our Spring Break 1 day ONLY virtual chess camp on Friday, April 2. We will have two sessions, an East Coast and a West Coast option!

Our East Coast camp will run from 9:00 AM EST - 12:00 PM EST Friday, April 2 2021.

Our West Coast option will run from 10:00 AM PST / 1:00 PM EST to 1:00 PM PST / 4:00 PM EST 

We are having National Master Abby Marshall headline our camp, along with other engaging instructors throughout the day. This single day camp is for students of all levels and abilities. There will be various topics covered such as tactical motifs, dangerous sacrifices, deadly checkmates and fascinating endgame studies. There will be a small ratio of students : teacher to optimize the learning experience. 

Tentative Schedule:

First 15 minutes: Group gathering and camp warm up. We will do a warmup puzzle while welcoming students for the day. 

Next 45 minutes: Lesson of the day with first coach. Classes will be broken up by ability. 

15 mintues - Short Break - Take a rest from camp - we will do some guided stretches which are optional. We reconvene at 10:15

Next 45 minutes:  Puzzle battle! Coaches will switch groups and we will have a puzzle solving battle with students. 

Final Hour: Tournament of the day. This is a private chess boot camp arena where a champion of the day will be crowned!
