Spring 2026 Washington Heights Chess Class 1

We are excited to offer a Spring session of after school chess on Fridays beginning 3/27. Chess has been proven to increase analytical and critical thinking skills. Chess makes creative problem solving into an enjoyable and stimulating game. Countless studies have shown that test scores, self - esteem, concentration and creative thinking increase after being exposed to chess. 

Chess Session 1 is open to 1-3rd grade students.  The Spring session of this chess class will meet once a week for 9 sessions on FRIDAY afternoons from 3:25 – 4:25 PM. The dates for the program are: 3/27, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5.  Please note there is no class on 4/3 and 5/1 . *If a class is canceled due to weather, we will hold a makeup class on a later date*. The fee for the 9 classes is $279  Signups are electronic. We are now also offering a sibling discount. If your kids would like to do the class, use code spring15 for 15% off each subsequent sibling.
