Spring 2025 United Chess Classes 1-3rd grades

We are excited to offer a Spring session of After School Chess on Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning April 2 . Chess has been proven to increase analytical and critical thinking skills. Chess makes creative problem solving into an enjoyable and stimulating game. Countless studies have shown that test scores, self - esteem, concentration and creative thinking increase after being exposed to chess. 

Wednesday Chess is open to grades 1-2. Thursday chess is open to grades 2-3. The Spring Session of Wednesday Chess will meet once a week for 11 sessions on Wednesday afternoons from 2:45 – 4:15 PM. The dates for the program are: 4/2, 4/9, 4/23, 4/30. 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28. 6/4, 6/11, 6/18.  

The Spring Session of Thursday Chess will meet once a week for 9 sessions on Thursday afternoons from 2:45 – 4:15 PM. The dates for the program are: 4/3, 4/10, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/12.

*If a class is canceled due to weather, we will hold a makeup class on a later date. The fee for the 11 Wednesday classes is $220. The fee for the 9 Thursday classes is $180

This is ideal for students who wish to improve their chess skills, learn new strategies and eventually compete in a tournament at the novice level. Our coaches provide fun and engaging chess instruction. They work to foster chess growth and spread their love of chess with the student population. 

**Please note, no Wednesday chess class on 4/16. No Thursday chess class on 4/17, 6/5, 6/19**  Signups are electronic.
